If you prefer to watch videos instead of reading the guide, feel free to do so. There is a playlist that covers everything you need to know for your trophy hunt on my YouTube channel. If you'd like and subscribe, it would mean a lot to this channel!
You can play this game in any order you like. This step-by-step guide is just a recommendation. First
we
start with all single races on Legend difficulty. "Quick Stage" doesn't unlock trophies which
means we have
to finish the races on our own. To make things a lot easier, we can adjust rider ratings and
change the
registration for every race to reduce the number of competitors. It is recommended to start on
Legendary
difficulty right away to save time.
Before we start racing, we can enter the Editor and increase the ratings of our favourite team.
Jumbo Visma
has a good variety of specialists.
To increase ratings, select a rider by pressing and
then
again on each of their stats.
Hold Up on the D-Pad to increase them all, repeat this for at least one specialist of each
category.
After that it's time to head to the Registration. This is where we’ll find a list of all races
available in
the game. When we click on a race, we’ll see a
list of all the teams. Teams shown in green will participate, while those in black won’t. The
first thing we
need to do is limit the race to only 15 teams. To do this, we press on some of them until just
15 teams are selected to take part.
Next, we choose a green team and swap out any riders who have an overall rating of 70 or
higher if possible. We do this by pressing on a
rider and then using Up on the D-Pad to browse the list of
riders. We switch them in and repeat the process for each rider rated 70+ on the team. Repeat
this for all
15 teams in the race.
For this step we need to this for the following races:
Before we get into the Tour de France we need to take care of some shorter tours. "Quick Stage"
doesn't
unlock trophies which means we have
to finish at least the final race of every tour on our own. However it is even easier than those
events in
the first step, because playing on Legendary difficulty isn't required in this step.
If you follow this roadmap you shouldn't need to adjust any ratings. Just make sure you take
care of the
registrations for the following races to reduce the number of competitors again:
We can apply the same Registration/Ratings strategy for the Tour de France. But we have to keep an
eye on the
combativity classification, which is the only one we won't win while simulating. But don't
worry, that
doesn't mean we have to play entire races. At the beginning of a race we can tell our riders
what to do by
pressing . Select "Follow Attacks" for
one or two of
them. With this little setup you can hold
from there to
fast forward the stage. The combativity classification is won by the most aggressive rider with
the most
attack kilometers. After each
race, we can check the combativity rankings. If you're leading or close enough to the lead, you
can simulate
the next race, but stay alert. If someone starts catching up, jump back in and "play" another
race.
Finally, make sure to play and fast forward the last race. Otherwise, you won’t receive any
trophy.
The remaining trophies can all be earned in Pro Leader mode on Amateur difficulty. Pick Columbia as your riders nationality and make him a sprinter. They don't have many sprinters, giving us the chance to join the national team early on.
