Level 1 - Streets of Rome
During this playthorugh you should focus on colleting every item. Every single one of them including the
secrets has its own timestamp in my videos. Watching a video is recommended because it's way easier to
follow it than a text guide for every item. We have to start with collecting 33 pick-ups and we need to
start working on Tail Innocence, which means we are not allowed to take any damage by rats.
Dress Rehearsal
Finish the Opera Backstage
At the very start of our adventure, as soon as we take control of Lara, there is a
door to the left marked “Opera Backstage.” Passing through this door leads us to the optional tutorial
section of the game. Inside, Lara teaches us the basic controls and introduces the new tightrope-walking
feature. The
sequence is straightforward and largely without risk of failure. The trophy unlocks at the end, after we
pull the switch
that reopens the door back to the starting room.
What a Horrid Idea!
After using the Mouth of Truth, use another one in 16 seconds or less
Early in the level, shortly after the tutorial, we will encounter a Mouth of Truth
in an alleyway as part of the main path. To activate a Mouth of Truth, we simply press the action
button. During the first activation sequence,
when Lara places her hand inside, we can immediately perform a roll or a backflip with a spin. This
positions
us a few steps away immediately after the animation ends, saving around two seconds. From there make
good use of Lara's sprint ability to get to the seond one in time.
To the Envy of Venus
Do a handstand over the portal gate
Later in this level we encounter the portal gate where the three gargoyle
heads are located and where Lara must place four stones to ultimately open the entry to the third level.
We reach this area upon arriving at the temple with the large bell. By climbing onto the surrounding
walls, we can jump down onto the portal gate. From the front edge of the gate, we need to hang and then
perform
a handstand.
Bark Square
Defeat five dogs near the fountain
Throughout the first level, we will encounter exactly five dogs. To earn the trophy,
we need to lure all five to the fountain located in the opening square and defeat them at this spot.
If you go for all collectibles, you won't miss a dog. Some require careful planning and may result in
health loss. To
ensure the trophy unlocks, we have to make sure each dog is in very close proximity to the fountain at
the
moment of defeat.
Not Ram Us
Hang from the ledge on the ram side without being hurt
Near the end of the level in the room with the two turnable pidgeons, we encounter
the ram. Up on its level, we can identify a section of rubble marking a safe forward boundary on the
ground.
Once the ram heads towards us and starts backing away, we quickly run forward as if chasing it. Near the
ledge, execute a roll and immediately press and hold the grab button. If done correctly, Lara will drop
from
the platform, grabbing onto the edge facing the ram. Move
safely to the right and continue the level to unlock the trophy.
Level 2 - Trajan's Market
In Trajan's Market we once again have to avoid taking damage by any of the rats for Tail Innocence.
It contains 36 items, leading to 69 in total.
Mars Is Attacked!
Defeat the Guardian Head by firing only two shots in a row through the lasersight
For this the revolver and lasersight are required, which we collected
naturally during the first level. Approximately halfway through the level, we swim beneath a waterfall
and enter a short passage where a
cutscene shows a floating head coming to life. Before proceeding, save the game and equip the
revolver with the lasersight.
To safely defeat the boss and unlock the trophy, bring up the scope and aim carefully at the eyes of
the floating head. Both eyes must be shot on the first attempt without leaving the scope or missing.
Level 3 - The Colosseum
The Colosseum features 12 items, which means we should finish this chapter with a total of 81 collectibles.
Long Live the King!
Defeat all the lions using Uzis
To complete this task, we have to skip the initial two lions, as they will not
follow
us up a ladder. We then eliminate a few gladiators on the way up. At the topmost level, a gladiator
charges toward us accompanied by a lion. To be safe, we should avoid using weapons other than the uzis
on the lions. During the charge, we need to eliminate the
gladiator with pistols while carefully avoiding shooting the lion.
Next, proceed to the end of the passage to acquire the uzis. There should be just enough ammunition
to kill all four lions, with some extra if all uzi ammo pickups have been collected. After defeating the
lion guarding the uzis, we backtrack down the ladder and get rid of the first two lions.
Later, we encounter the final lion paired with another gladiator. Again, the strategy is to kill the
gladiator
with pistols, allowing free use of the uzis on the lion. Using the uzis on the gladiators may result in
insufficient ammunition for the lions.
Feet of Clay
Defeat the last soldier statue in the Colosseum using only Lara's pistols and
without taking damage
After obtaining Long Live the King!, we take the key from the
fallen gladiator and use it to unlock the double doors at the end of this room. This action triggers a
cinematic showing a statue awakening and attacking. Equip the pistols and begin firing while retreating
to keep a safe distance. It is
important to watch for the statue’s area-of-effect attack. When it strikes the ground with its hammer, a
damaging blue shockwave is generated. If the available space becomes too limited or running past the
statue seems too risky, we can drop down
the hole we originally entered through and continue firing at the statue from this position.
Codex of Rome
Collect all secrets in Rome levels
Rome contains 9 secrets in form of golden roses. 3 in each level. This unlocks
naturally while going for Hoarding Order.
And So Ended the First of Many
Finish Rome chapter
Story-related. Unlocks naturally after completing The Colosseum.
Level 4 - The Base
The second chapter of the game leads us to Russia. In the first of the 4 levels there, we have to pick up 18
items. These lead to 99 in total.
I'll Get You Next Time!
Dodge the falling claw three times in a row at the highest point of the warehouse
Make a save before attempting this, because it voids Crane Game. After making
it up the stairs we end up in front of a broken railing. After saving jump to the white container
covered by a large chain positioned in front and to the right. From there, jump onto the central
stack of crates and climb to the highest point or pick any other of the highest placed containers. We
then need to wait for the claw to catch up to us.
To earn the trophy, we must wait until the claw is about to grab us before performing a
roll to avoid it. If sound is available, listen closely for the rattling chains as a warning just before
the strike. Alternatively we can watch the shadow carefully. The shadow slightly expands when the claw
opens, signaling the moment to evade. Successfully avoiding three consecutive claw strikes in this
manner will unlock the trophy.
Crane Game
Pick up all the items in the warehouse before the claw drops at least once
Reload the save you made before going for I'll Get You Next Time!. There are
two items to collect, Uzi Ammo and a Small Medipack. Using photo mode helps identify their locations. We
must retrieve both items quickly before the claw can lock onto our position.
Double Down
Defeat both snipers without being hurt
Toward the end of the level, two snipers are positioned behind broken windows at a
high elevation. Using photo mode, we can locate their exact positions if needed. We must hit each sniper
2-3 times with the Desert Eagle equipped with lasersight or deliver one headshot
to eliminate them before they inflict any damage.
Damn, You're Not Good!
Get back at this poser for all his bullying
Story-related. Just watch the final cutscene of the level.
Level 5 - The Submarine
The Submarine features 18 pick-ups, which leads us to 117 in total. There is only one trophy in this level,
but it spans it entirely.
I Am Invincible!
Do not use any medipacks in the Submarine level
The only way to take damage in this level is by one of the 13 enemies we encounter.
Make manual saves whenever necessary and roll around enemies with guns to avoid most of the damage.
Level 6 - Deepsea Dive
In this short level we only have to pick up just 2 items, one of them is a secret. They lead us to 119 in
total.
Peculiarities of the National Fishing
Use all ten chaff flares to divert torpedoes
In the area near the secret, we use the first mini submarine on the right for this.
The
strategy involves entering the area and deploying the first flare. We can then move
slightly to the side and observe as a torpedo is attracted to the flare. It is not necessary for the
torpedo to make contact with the flare, it only needs to be drawn toward it for it to count.
Next, move to the opposite side of the room, drop a second flare, reposition and wait for another
torpedo to be diverted by this flare. Each flare lasts for a considerable duration and appears capable
of attracting 3-4 torpedoes. It is
advisable to move away from each flare after witnessing a torpedo drawn to it, before deploying the next
flare.
Repeating this process for all ten flares will unlock the trophy.
Silent Raider
Make a torpedo crash into the submarine
This works best when moving into the left-hand area with the
submersible, as there is a larger opening for the torpedo to hit than we can find on the right side.
So head left, attract the submersible’s attention, and hover in the gap between the rocks until the
torpedo is fired. At the last moment, we have to move out of the torpedo’s path. Occasionally, the
torpedo will
travel over the rocks behind us and hit the big submarine.
Stress Level Zero
Don't make Lara nervous before she takes the secret and finds the Spear of Destiny
There are two causes of panic, getting hit by a torpedo and bumping into
walls or the ocean floor. The latter is more common and easily overlooked, so careful movement is
necessary.
To earn this trophy, we must ensure Lara does not register any panic until we picked up both items.
To avoid collisions, move slowly by briefly tapping the forward button. This slow approach can sometimes
prevent panic even after minor contact.
It is advisable to save often, particularly after collecting the secret and before entering the short
canyon before the wreck. Make sure to use our chaff flares if necessary.
Level 7 - Sinking Submarine
The final level of the Russian Submarine contains 17 items, leading to 136 in total.
Nekrasov Woman
Get the nitrogen canister without taking any damage before turning off the power
While progressing through the level, we will encounter a room
filled with consoles and electrified water from dangling wires. Normally, this room is avoided until the
power is shut down. To earn the trophy, we must jump from console to console within the electrified
water, reaching a
console at the back of the room that holds the nitrogen canister.
Codex of Zapadnaya Litsa
Collect all secrets in Russian Submarine levels
The Russian Subamrine contains 9 secrets in form of golden roses. 3 in The Base and
The Submarine each, 1 in Deepsea Dive and 2 in Sinking Submarine. This unlocks
naturally while going for Hoarding Order.
Hell and High Water
Do not get fire burns or electric shocks in the Sinking Submarine level
Self-explanatory. About midway through the level we can turn the power off, which
reduces the risk of taking damage by a lot. There is only one place where we can take damage by fire
that can easily be avoided by getting across the flames with sideflips.
Man Could Never Again Misuse It
Finish Russian Submarine chapter
Story-related. Unlocks naturally after completing Sinking Submarine.
Level 8 - Gallows Tree
The third chapter leads us to Ireland, back in a time where Lara didn't have any guns. Here we need to pick
up 16 items, which leads to a total of 152. In addition to that, we have to start working on Fail
Compilation.
Well Done
Perform a clean somersault dive into the well
Upon reaching the well in this level, we dive into it from the high
opening above. To unlock the trophy, it is necessary to perform a full somersault while diving by
pressing the roll button without touching the walls of the well.
Torchdown
Check to see if the demon has been exorcised
After burning the tree with the torch, a cutscene plays showing the priest
probably exorcising a demon in a dark hole in a corner of the room. Once the cutscene finishes, we throw
our lit torch down the hole to unlock the trophy.
Tail Innocence
Don't let the rat packs bite you through the whole walkthrough
For this trophy we need to avoid all rat packs in Streets of Rome, Trajan's Market
and Gallows Tree.
- Streets of Rome: We eventually reach a room with barrels and a locked door. After combining the
revolver and the laser sight, shoot off the lock
and save the game. It is recommended not to save too close to the Garden Key, as doing so may
cause
rats to immediately surround Lara if reloading is necessary.
Approaching the tile where the door was, we turn and backflip into the alcove but do not pick up
the
key yet. Instead, jump forward and run out into the street to evade the swarm of rats. In the
street, we can either run away far enough or jump back and forth for about a minute until the
rats disperse.
- Trajan' Market I: Early in the level, a small room contains a Gold Coin set in the middle of a
gate, which we pry off
using the crowbar. Returning to the small alcove we
used to enter and keep hanging from the ledge until the rats are gone.
- Trajan's Market II: Later in the level, at a T-shaped sewer junction, we can just avoid a grate
that
spawns a rat pack if
approached. We don't have to trigger all of them for the trophy.
- Gallows Tree I: Shortly after diving into the well, we swim
through an underwater
passage and surface in a small pond in front of a mill. Swimming left from there spawns a rat
pack, so swim right and climb the nearby rocks. If rats accidentally spawn, stay
underwater to prevent damage.
- Gallows Tree II: Immediately after acquiring the rubber tube, we jump across the wall dividing
two ponds. Upon
landing in the second pond and moving forward, a rat pack is triggered. Simply stay
underwater until the rats lose interest and leave.
If you managed to get rid of all these rat packs in the same playthrough, the trophy unlocks upon
completing Gallows Tree.
Impatiens
Don't let the little imps hurt you in the Gallows Tree level
The first imp is located near the gallows tree. It can be completely avoided by
staying close to the wall from which we arrived. Near the level’s end, we acquire the Heart after
burning the tree roots. With the Heart in hand, we
have to backtrack through the small maze before the tree roots room. This leads us to a hill with
several small
tombs. At the top of the hill is a locked door, and to the right of the door is a receptacle where the
Heart
must be placed. These are the only encounters to worry about.
Level 9 - Labyrinth
In the Labyrinth we have to collect 11 items to finish it with a total of 163. To be safe while working on
Fail Compilation, fail the Labyrinth once. Some players reported that it is necessary for the trophy.
Skeleton Prance
Avoid being hit by the ghost skeletons in the chapel
At the start of this level, five ghost skeletons spawn in the chapel. To
avoid taking damage, we simply refrain from getting close to them. These skeletons are much easier to
see
using the classic graphics. The trophy pops once the skeletons are destroyed by burning the dust in the
chapel.
Amaze Runner
Run through the final labyrinth in 25 seconds or less
At the end of the level, after getting past the rotating bridges, we
arrive at a small maze where a monster pursues us and holes are scattered in the ground.
Before sliding down into the maze, save the game. The time limit of 25 seconds is quite forgiving, it is
not necessary to sprint but to maintain a constant running pace while
avoiding falling into any holes along the way.
Level 10 - Old Mill
The Old Mill conatins another 10 items we need to pick up to reach a total of 173. In addition to that, we
can finish Fail Compilation here.
Animal Instinct
Make the little imps run in panic
Early in this level, we come to two imps across a large chasm which throw stones at
Lara.
Jump to grab the swinging rope, turn around, then swing and jump to the location of the torch. Inside
the nearby tunnel, we find a torch to light our own. Return with to the imps, stand on the edge of the
chasm and throw the lit torch over to the imps using the jump button.
As soon as they start panicking, the trophy should pop.
Fail Compilation
Watch all the scenes of young Lara's failures
For this trophy we have to watch all cutscenes where young Lara fails in the
three Ireland levels. Completing this does not need to occur in the same playthrough.
- Gallows Tree: Avoid taking the iron clapper at first. Doing so will lead to a cutscene where the
imps drag Lara away after using the heart.
- Old Mill: Right at the start, proceed straight until the horseman will block Lara from
advancing.
- Old Mill: The Merrow under the mill will drag Lara away from the treasure if caught while
swimming.
Sleepy Merrow
Once you're in the water, get rid of the creature in 25 seconds or less
Upon reaching the water with the creature, we need to position ourselves on the left
side
facing the mill. Using photo mode, we can observe the creature’s location.
When the creature is at the far right side of the underwater cavern, jump over the slope into the
water and immediately swim straight to the coin. After grabbing the coin, roll and swim directly to
the cage, using the coin on it. Saving before this area allows checking the creature’s position with
photo mode repeatedly until the timing is optimal.
Codex of Ireland
Collect all secrets in Ireland levels
Ireland contains 9 secrets in form of golden roses. 3 in each level. This unlocks
naturally while going for Hoarding Order.
Roses Are Gold, Lara Got Burned
Pick up the secret behind the fires before you visit the mill and survive
The secret in question is Golden Rose #2. The secret must be obtained
before entering the mill and activating the mechanism that extinguishes the fires blocking access to the
secret. The fastest method is just running through the fire, pick up the rose and jump into the water.
This may take some medipacks, but we don't really need them for anything else for the rest of the
chapter.
A Few Valuable Lessons
Finish Ireland chapter
Story-related. Unlocks naturally after completing Old Mill.
Level 11 - 13th Floor
The final chapter of this game leads us to the VCI headquarters where we are trying to retrieve the Iris.
This first level contains 26 items, leading to a total of 199.
Nailed It!
Use a hammer to take a shortcut
Explore to the left from the start and find a hammer inside a storage room.
Returning to the beginning and heading right, we encounter a door secured with a padlock. Save here,
because this trophy voids Hoarding Order. This lock can be either shot off or broken using the
hammer.
Breaking the lock with the hammer unlocks the trophy, but it causes us to miss one item.
Dodge This!
One-shot five VCI guards in 20 seconds or less
Arguably the most annoying trophy of this game. The scetion for this starts as soon
as we reach the sleeping guard. Make a manual save here and take the elevator to the upper level to
trigger a cutscene. After that, take the elevator back down and wake up the guard by firing at his
windows without the silencer attanched to our HK.
Just wake him, don't shoot anybody. Save here again. Quickly take the elevator
back up instead. When the elevator doors reopen, remain inside and aim between the hologram ahead and
the crate. Three
guards will appear from the right. Wait until at least 2 are in view, then quickly headshot all 3 of
them one by one.
The previous save is useful to reset enemy positions if one guard is delayed. Remember to heal if
needed. Without delay, take the elevator back to the previous floor (you can save here again, if you
took all of them out fast enough) and be ready to run into the corridor on the
right. Quickly shoot the two guards present. The timing is
very tight and may require several attempts.
Mission Impossible
Get through the 13th Floor level unnoticed
To earn this trophy, we must avoid
being noticed by guards (workers can notice us) throughout the entire level. It is possible to kill
guards, but only by
headshotting them before they detect us. There are two tricky sections for this.
- Late in this level we are entering a hallway where a door closes behind us and an armored guard
arrives
at the other end. The strategy here is to headshot this guard before he fires a shot.
- After the armored guard hallway and before the timed Iris run, there is a patrolling guard.
Killing this
guard stealthily triggers a turret, which voids the trophy. The recommended
approach is to sneak past the guard and quickly trigger the cutscene where the worker is
coerced, and the door
closes behind us. The time window is very tight for this. Moving too slowly risks being seen
when the patrolling guard returns.
The Trap Is Set
Pick up all the secrets on the 13th floor, avoiding the lasers
Just collect all 3 golden roses while not taking damage by any of the lasers in this
level. You can save as often as you like, so this shouldn't be too difficult.
Level 12 - Escape with the Iris
In the penultimate level of the game we have to collect 19 more items to reach a total of 219.
You Remembered!
Happy birthday, Lara!
At the first keypad, located not far from the start of the level, we have to enter
Lara’s
birthday code: 1402.
30/10
Perform a full triple somersault dive
We eventually reach a huge elevator shaft. From the top of the elevator, where we
also find some HK ammo, we can perform a swan dive with a triple somersault while dropping all the way
to the ground. Save before doing this as Lara doesn't survive this stunt.
Sweet Dreams
Get the unreachable medipack
After taking the elevator down, we encounter a guard positioned to the right in the
corridor. He stands with his back to the elevator. In the original version of the game, there was no
possible way to eliminate this guard. Chloroform has no
effect, and therefore the large medipack he carries cannot be obtained. In the remastered version
however, chloroform does affect him. Once we use it successfully, the guard is subdued
and will drop the previously inaccessible large medipack.
VCI! Open Up!
Get the teleport disk before the guards cut the door open
We have to take care of this right after the cutscene where Lara says "They are
coming through the door with blowtorches!". As soon as it ends, move forward and press the two buttons
located on
either side of the doorway. A ceiling turret activates immediately, so we need to act fast. Once both
buttons are pressed, the door to the next hallway opens. We run through quickly to avoid another turret,
then turn right into the teleporter room. From there, we head left into a room containing several white
briefcases. The correct briefcase is the one placed just before the two that are positioned against the
wall
opposite the entrance. Opening it gives us the teleport disk, which also unlocks the trophy. This may
cost some medipacks though.
Level 13 - Red Alert!
This is it, the final mission of the game. Here we have to collect another 21 items to finally get to a total
of 239 thus unlocking Hoarding Order.
Waterminator
Defeat the first cyborg
Story-related. Unlocks automatically.
Miss Croft
Run past the panoramic windows without taking damage from the helicopter
After defeating the first cyborg and returning to the hallway, a helicopter appears
and begins firing at us. To handle this section, we should save the game beforehand. Then we sprint down
the hallway, keeping Lara away from the fuel tanks to avoid damage. At the end of the hallway, we must
perform a jump, otherwise Lara will fall into the hole left by the final fuel tank explosion.

Collect all secrets in VCI Headquarters levels
The VCI Headquarters contain 9 secrets in form of golden roses. 3 in each level.
This unlocks
naturally while going for Hoarding Order.

Defeat the second cyborg
Story-related. Unlocks automatically.
Hoarding Order
Take every collectable item in a single walkthrough
We can pause the game at any time, open the inventory, navigate to the Sunglasses
and view the Statistics screen. Unlike the first three games, the statistics only show a cumulative
total
across all completed levels, not a breakdown per level. Because of this, we need to keep closer track of
our totals after each stage. The list below helps determine whether you have collected everything in a
given level. The numbers in brackets show the total after every level:

New Game +
Other than the first three games, there is no speedrun trophy in this game. Add that to the fact that we are
allowed to save where we want and as often as we want. These factors make it even easier than Tomb Raider 2.
Past Mortem
Beat the game on New Game+
When you're going for this, you should know all of the levels. The three-headed
dragon at the end of Trajan's Market is by far the worst enemy in my opinion. Everything else shouldn't
be too difficult, given that we can save at any time. The main differences in NG+ you should know
beforehand are:
- We start every chapter without any medipacks.
- All medipacks are replaced with weapon ammo.
- We receive 2 small and 1 large medipacks for each Golden Rose.
- Enemies and traps deal a lot more damage.
- Rats and Imps are now poisonous.
- The Sleeping Guard in "13th Floor" wakes up, no matter how you try to deal with him.
