Trophy Guide & Roadmap

Chapter 1 - Daymark

The first chapter is a short one and teaches us all basic mechanics of the game. In terms of collectibles it has 7 letters, 1 letter from Bianca, 2 cairns, and 1 shell.

First contact
Read a letter.
The game features a total of 44 letters that we need to collect for Avid Reader. This trophy pops after the first one of them.
An ear to the past
Listen to a shell.
There are 12 shells scattered throughout the first 5 chapters. One of them is located in chapter 1. The trophy pops after collecting it or any other shell.
First stone
Complete a cairn.
We have to put a stone on top of 20 cairns. This can be done by pressing a single button near it. The first chapter contains 2 cairns. We unlock this trophy by completing our first cairn.

Chapter 2 - Migration

Chapter 2 is just a little bit longer than the first one. It introduces new kinds of collectibles and gives us the opportunity to hug our little friend from now on. In terms of collectibles it has 7 letters, 1 letter from Bianca, 4 cairns, 2 shells, 1 altar, 3 frescos.

Adventure buddies
Hug the ballast.
From the start of chapter 2 we can hug our little friend by pressing & at the same time.
Restored connection
Hug the ballast 20 times.
Just press & at the same time 20 times after the start of chapter 2. Everytime a little animation will play out until we can hug it again.
Echo from the past
Activate a fresco.
Frescos are a new form of collectibles that can be found in chapters 2-5. We can activate a fresco by pressing R3 while standing close to it.
Back in motion
Turn an altar.
There are a total of 4 altars that can be found, one in each chapter from 2-5. The controls to turn an altar will be shown at every single one of them.

Chapter 3 - Solstice

This and the next chapter are the longest of the game. The trophy Collective Climb is exclusive to this chapter. In terms of collectibles it has 13 letters, 6 letters from Bianca, 7 cairns, 3 shells, 1 altar, 3 frescos.

Angel's carabiner
Place a piton at the top of a wall run.
On our way up to the mountaintop and to our new platinum trophy, we often need to perform some wall runs. When you are at the highest point of it, just before our hero drops back down, hold to place a new piton. If done correctly, the trophy should pop immediately.
Bogeychoco
Scare more than 10 chocos back to their burrow.
This trophy should pop naturally during the second, third or fourth chapter. Chocos are all sorts of little animals that run away when you get close. Follow them until you can't reach them anymore to make them count towards the trophy. Sometimes you won't even see them and they still count, so don't worry too much about this :)
Collective climb
Stop 25 pebbles with a single echo from the ballast.
Using an echo to stop little pebbles from moving is a technique we learn during chapter 3. To send an echo, press Up on the D-Pad. The game tells you how to use it to create some leaves on dried out plants. A while after that there will be climbing sections where you'll see multiple pebbles close together, especially about midway through the chapter.

Chapter 5 - Mirage

Chapter 4 ("Convergence") has no specific trophies. In terms of collectibles it has 15 letters, 2 letters from Bianca, 5 cairns, 3 shells, 1 altar, 3 frescos.

In chapter 5 we are going to unlock every trophy tied to collectibles. If you don't get one of them, check your stats via Chapter Select, because you might have missed one somewhere. In terms of collectibles it has 2 letters, 3 letters from Bianca, 2 cairns, 3 shells, 1 altar, 3 frescos.

Acrobat
Complete more than 200 jumps or double jumps in one game.
This trophy is as simple as it sounds. Jumping is one of the fundamentals of the game. The trophy should pop naturally during chapter 4 or 5. If it doesn't, make sure to perform the remaining jumps, before you reach the top of the black tower in chapter 6.
Fresh air
Restore your stamina more than 50 times while climbing.
To refill our stamina during a climbing section we can hold L3 until the stamina bar is completely replenished. Do this 50 times until the end of chapter 6 to unlock the trophy.
Avid reader
Read all letters.
The game has 44 letters scattered over the first five chapters. 7 in chapter 1, 7 in chapter 2, 13 in chapter 3, 15 in chapter 4 and 2 in chapter 5. We have to collect all of them. Activate all frescos.

Final ascent
Read all of Bianca's journal entries.
The game has 13 letters/journal entries from Bianca scattered over the first five chapters. 1 in chapter 1, 1 in chapter 2, 6 in chapter 3, 2 in chapter 4 and 3 in chapter 5. We have to collect all of them. I'd recommend to watch a video for them. Not just because it would help my channel, but because there is no map to show you the spots. Sound archeologist
Listen to all shells.

Cycle celebration
Turn all altars.
The game has 4 altars, one in each chapter from 2-5. We have to turn all of them. I'd recommend to watch a video for them. Common ground
Complete all cairns.
The game has 20 cairns scattered over the first five chapters. 2 in chapter 1, 4 in chapter 2, 7 in chapter 3, 5 in chapter 4 and 2 in chapter 5. We have to complete all of them. Chapter 6 - Syzygy

This is the final chapter. It has no more collectibles we need to take care of. But two trophies are specifically tied to it. At the end Water piper should pop automatically. Hopefully together with your new platinum :)

A faint glimmer
Warm up the ballast in chapter 6.
Right at the start of chapter 6 we can earn this trophy, by just pressing and holding & .
Awakened memory
Use the echo on a frozen ballast in Chapter 6.
The first part of chapter 6, until we reach the black tower is filled with grown ballasts. All of them are frozen and look like some sort of whales. To earn this trophy with need to walk up to one of them and press Up on the D-Pad.
Water piper
Complete the game.
After we successfully reach the top of the black tower a cutscene should start, which marks the end of the game. The trophy pops somewhere around the start of the credits.
Ballast
Obtain all trophies in the game.
