Step 1 - Portland
After completing Luigi's Girls it's recommended to focus on a couple of things first, before advancing the
story. Otherwise our way to platinum is much harder than it has to be. The order in which you complete them
is up to you though.
20 Firefighter missions while focusing on Splish Splash, 20 Vigilante missions while focusing on
Going Rogue, Playing Doctor, 2 RC Missions, 1 Off-Road Mission, 8 Unique Jumps, 29/33 Hidden
Packages (4 aren't accessible yet), 6 Rampages, Where To? and all Import/Export vehicles except
"Dodo". If you need any visual reference for a
trophy or need to know the location of the collectibles, please take a look at my playlist. Everything has
its own timestamp.
To reach 100% completion it is important to play the main missions in the correct order:
- Give Me Liberty
- Luigi’s Girls (Luigi)
- Don’t Spank Ma Bitch Up (Luigi)
- Drive Misty For Me (Luigi)
- The Crook (Payphone Marty)
- The Thieves (Payphone Marty)

- Last Requests (Salvatore) (From the boat, drive to the little rock and pick up Hidden Package 32 there.
After this mission the subway in Portland opens, allowing us to pick up the final Hidden Package of this
area)
First Day on the Job
Complete "Luigi's Girls".
After completing "Give Me Liberty", we automatically receive the mission Luigi’s
Girls. This is the first time we meet Luigi, our initial contact. He instructs us to pick up Misty, one
of his associates. To complete the task, we drive from Luigi’s Club to the hospital, let Misty enter the
car, and then
return to the Club. The trophy will unlock shortly after.
Where To?
Complete 100 taxi fares.
Taxi missions can be started at any time by entering a Taxi or Cabbie
and pressing the Up on the D-Pad to begin fares. Each fare is limited to the island we start on. Once a
fare is
completed, simply continue driving to find another passenger on the street. Taxi Driving is also a
reliable way to earn extra money early in the game.
It’s important to manage the condition of the taxi: if it becomes too damaged, passengers will refuse to
enter. In that case, we need to visit a Pay ’n’ Spray before continuing or take another taxi.
The requirement for the trophy is to successfully complete 100 fares in total. These 100 fares do not
need to be done in a single session. They are cumulative, and progress can be tracked in the Stats page
of the pause menu. It's also mandatory for achieving 100% game completion. Later in the game, hostile
gang
members in certain districts make it much harder to drive safely and find passengers without
interference, so I'd recommend dealing with it as early as possible.
Splish Splash
Extinguish 15 fires during a single Fire Truck mission.
To begin the Firefighter side mission, we need to obtain a firetruck. Firetrucks can
be taken from the fire station on each island. The goal is straightforward, extinguish fires across the
island within the mission timer. Despite its
size, the truck is fairly quick. The hose will spray in the
direction that the camera is facing, so it’s important to adjust the view carefully before
aiming at targets.
The mission ends if we exit the firetruck, stop the mission manually, or let the time run out. The
easiest approach is in Portland before progressing too far into the main story. Portland has many long,
straight roads that make driving the firetruck simpler, while the limited gang hostility at that stage
reduces unnecessary obstacles.
Wreckless Driving
Perform a perfect insane stunt.
Please refer to Wheels Up.
Going Rogue
Kill 15 criminals during one Vigilante mission.
Probably the most annoying trophy of the entire game. To begin Vigilante, we need a
police vehicle. Any police vehicle works for this activity. Once started, criminals will spawn around
the current island and we must eliminate them to
progress. Each island has its own set of criminals, so all targets will remain confined to the island
where we started the mission.
The most effective approach is to use drive-bys with the Micro SMG. Spraying the criminal’s vehicle
until it catches fire forces them either to explode inside it or exit the car to fight. Once a criminal
exits their vehicle, we can just run them over.
After killing a criminal, the game immediately provides another target. Each kill repairs our police
vehicle a bit.
Failure occurs if we die, get arrested, allow the timer to run out, or leave a police vehicle for more
than 60 seconds.
It's recommended to attempt this in Portland before advancing the story. It requires some luck, because
some criminals drive like they're on rails, especially in trucks and buses. If you feel like you can't
get it done you could try it again after completing the story. By then the Rhino will be unlocked. It
counts as a police vehicle too and is indestructible, the only downside it has is the low speed, so
you'd have to plan your rout ahead of reaching the target.
Playing Doctor
Complete Paramedic level 12.
To begin the Paramedic side mission, we must enter an ambulance. These can be found
parked at hospitals or will arrive on the scene when there is a body. The objective is to pick up
injured pedestrians and deliver them to the hospital. The mission
begins with a single patient, but as levels progress, the number of patients and the difficulty
increase.
The ambulance can transport up to three patients at a time, which means we need to plan each round
carefully. Every time we drop off patients, we receive a time bonus. Patients have very low health. If
we run them over during pick-up, they will die instantly, resulting in
mission failure for that patient. Overall, this mission is about patience and endurance.
The best place and time to complete this challenge is at the start of the game in Portland. The
island has simpler routes and fewer threats.
Street Sweeper
Waste 100 gang members.
This is unmissable. Just completing all Rampages is already enough to unlock this
trophy.
Disposing of the Evidence
Crush a car at the junkyard.
The crusher is specifically required during the missions Dead Skunk in the Trunk and The Crook. In both
cases, the final step is to dispose of a vehicle using the crusher. Completing that step is what unlocks
the related trophy automatically. Make sure to stay near the crusher until the animation has finished.
Got This Figured Out
Use a coach to pick up all 8 prostitutes in the mission "The Fuzz Ball".
The Fuzz Ball is Luigi’s final mission.
The objective is to transport Luigi’s girls to the Policeman’s Ball before the event ends. Normally, we
only need to deliver four girls to complete the mission, but in order to unlock the related trophy, we
must collect all available girls and do so using a Coach.
Before activating the mission, we need to secure a Coach. Two can reliably be found at the Bus Depot
in Trenton. Drive the Coach to Luigi’s mission marker, then start The Fuzz Ball. The Coach has 8
passenger seats, allowing us to collect all of Luigi’s girls in one trip. Pick up each girl in any
order. They will board the bus
without issue. The only real concern is the timer, but the time limit is pretty generous. As long as we
drive carefully and avoid unnecessary crashes, time
should not be a problem.
Once all the girls are collected, drive back to the Policeman’s Ball marker. When we stop inside the
marker, the mission will complete and the trophy will unlock.
Come Out to Play-y-y-y
Kill 25 gang members with melee weapons / fists.
This will highly likely not unlock through natural story progression. If you want to
get rid of this early, go to Hepburn Heights and beat up some Diablos with the bat. The reason we target
these guys is that they usually don't carry guns.
Without a Scratch
Deliver Mike Lips' car without a scratch on first attempt.
We receive this mission from Joey, titled "Mike Lips Last Lunch". The objective is
to
drive to Saint Mark’s Bistro, take Mike Lips’ car, bring it to 8-Ball’s bomb shop to have it rigged, and
then return the car to Saint Mark’s before Mike finishes his meal.
The key challenge is not the bomb delivery itself but keeping the car in perfect condition. The
associated trophy only unlocks if Mike’s car takes no damage at all during the entire trip. It’s
strongly recommended that we
create a save before starting the mission, so we can reload in case of mistakes.
When driving the car, we must avoid collisions with other cars, pedestrians, and roadside objects. The
route between
8-Ball’s and the Bistro is short and fairly safe, but patience and attentiveness are still required. If
the game displays "The car is scuffed! Go repair it!", the attempt is already failed. At that point, we
need to intentionally fail the mission—by dying, getting arrested, destroying the car, or letting the
timer expire. Once Mission Failed appears, we can confirm and retry the mission, or reload from our
prior save.
If the car is returned completely undamaged, the mission plays out normally. Mike will leave the
restaurant, approach his car, and the trophy will unlock shortly afterward.
Planned Ahead
Take out Chunky Lee Chong with a car rigged with a bomb.
This mission is given by Joey as the second job after Mike Lips’s Last Lunch. The
standard objective is to eliminate Chunky Lee Chong, who operates a noodle stand in Chinatown and is
involved in selling SPANK. Normally, he flees in a car and we pursue him. For the associated trophy,
however, we must kill him when he enters his car.
How to set the trap:
- When the mission begins, the game spawns two Perennial cars near the pedestrian-only walkways of
Chinatown. Chunky will always run toward one of these Perennials, depending on where we approach
him. Take one of the Perennials immediately after the mission starts.
- Drive it to 8-Ball’s bomb shop and have it fitted with an explosive.
- Return the rigged Perennial to its original parking spot in Chinatown. Be sure to arm the bomb
before
leaving the vehicle.
- Position yourself near the other Perennial. Approach Chunky from that entrance so he becomes
spooked and runs directly to the booby-trapped car.
By a Mile
Complete the "Turismo" race in under 180 seconds.
- Complete Joey’s mission “Van Heist” to unlock “Turismo.”
- Before starting, steal a Banshee from Capital Autos in Portland.
- Save your game in case something goes wrong (trophy is easier early on).
- Drive to El Burro’s payphone in Hepburn Heights to accept the mission.
- Line up at the starting marker with the Banshee.
- Race through all 18 checkpoints, aiming for smooth driving with minimal crashes.
- Finish 1st and ensure the total time is under 3 minutes to unlock the trophy.
Dirty Money
Amass a fortune of $1,000,000.
Unlocks naturally while going for 100% completion.
Mob Boss
Keep the two mafia members alive during "Triads and Tribulations".
- Before starting, save your progress – the trophy is missable if your allies die (they are pretty
stupid by the way).
- Before starting, drive around the corner to the garages: pick up the AK-47 and full armor hidden
behind the
restaurant.
- Take the Kuruma parked outside the restaurant and let both henchmen inside.
- Run the first target over with the Kuruma or perform a drive-by using the SMG.
- At the second target, park the car safely and use the AK for a long-range kill.
- Quickly return to your car to prevent Triads from dragging you out.
- Instead of entering the factory where third target waits, go around to the hill behind the
factory.
- From that vantage point, shoot him safely with the AK, or throw grenades.
- Once all three Warlords are dead and your two Mafia allies are still alive, the mission
completes.
Right-hand Man
Earn a criminal rating of 2,500.
This trophy is unmissable. It'll unlock automatically throughout the story.
A Marked Man
Complete "Last Requests".
This is story-related. Completing this mission also opens up the way to Staunton
Island.
Step 2 - Staunton Island
Before starting the story mission of this area, it's recommended to sort out a couple of other activities
first. Otherwise our way to platinum is much harder than it has to be. The order in which you complete them
is up to you though.
20 Firefighter missions, 20 Vigilante missions, 1 RC Mission, 2 Off-Road Mission, 4 Unique Jumps, 36 Hidden
Packages to reach a total of 69 and 7 Rampages. If you need any visual reference for a
trophy or need to know the location of the collectibles, please take a look at my playlist. Everything has
its own timestamp.

Liberty City Minute
Survive with less than 10 hp for 1 minute.
In this game, even minor impacts can reduce health, so we often find ourselves at
low HP. The tracking begins as soon as our health drops under 10.
This requirement is cumulative, meaning the time spent across different instances at low health still
counts toward the total. The unlock itself is simple: although it can happen naturally over time, we can
intentionally speed it up by throwing grenades near us to intentionally take some damage.
Escape Artist
Use 20 police bribes.
Police bribes are pick-ups that lower our wanted level. They are scattered across
Liberty City, often placed in alleys or hidden spots. Once collected, a bribe will usually
respawn after about five minutes—though
saving the game immediately resets all bribes as well.
Usually, we will
collect enough bribes during police chases and/or story missions. For long-term usefulness, the best
strategy is to unlock
permanent bribes near our hideouts by
completing Vigilante missions. Each island grants two permanent bribe spawns after eliminating 20
criminals. Across the three islands, that’s a total of six bribes for 60 kills. These are extremely
valuable, since we can return to a hideout and quickly clear our wanted level without memorizing distant
or awkward routes. As Vigilante missions are already part of a 100% completion run, unlocking these
bribes in advance is a major convenience for the rest of the game.
A Gift from the King
Complete the "Kingdom Come" mission.
In this mission, King Courtney sends Claude to Bedford Point to collect a supposed
stash car, a white Idaho. Once we enter the car, it turns out to be a setup from Catalina: the parking
lot fills with vans carrying suicide bombers. The objective is to destroy all bomb vans and eliminate
the bombers.
The best strategy is to take out the vans deliberately and from a safe distance while carefully managing
enemy spawns.
- Before entering the stash car, destroy the first van parked on the right-hand side of the lot.
- Enter the white Idaho. A short cutscene will play, revealing the trap.
- Exit the Idaho and use a shotgun to shoot the bombers standing
near the second van, causing it to explode.
- Approach the third van. Use grenades and / or the shotgun to safely destroy it. Watch out for
bombers while doing so.
- Finally eliminate the bombers next to the fourth van. Their deaths will trigger the
final explosion.
- Once all four vans are destroyed, finish off any remaining bombers in the area.
Full Artillery
Use every weapon in the game at least once.
To unlock this trophy we need to use all of these 12 weapons.
- Fists/Unarmed
- Bat
- Pistol
- Micro SMG
- Shotgun
- AK-47
- M16
- Sniper Rifle
- Flamethrower
- Rocket Launcher
- Molotov
- Grenade
Offshore Delivery
Complete "A Drop in the Ocean".
Story-related. It's the third mission for Donald Love and unlocks the path to
Shoreside Vale.
Step 3 - Shoreside Vale
Before finishing the story it's recommended to focus on a couple of things first. Otherwise our way to
platinum is much harder than it has to be. The order in which you complete them
is up to you though.
20 Firefighter missions, 20 Vigilante missions, 1 RC Missions, 1 Off-Road Mission, 8 Unique Jumps, 31 Hidden
Packages, 7 Rampages and all remaining Import/Export vehicles except the service vehicles. If you need any
visual reference for a
trophy or need to know the location of the collectibles, please take a look at my playlist. Everything has
its own timestamp.
To reach 100% completion it is important to play the main missions in the correct order:
- Uzi Money (Payphone D-Ice)
- Toyminator (Payphone D-Ice)
- Rigged to Blow (Payphone D-Ice)
- Bullion Run (Payphone D-Ice)
- Rumble (Payphone D-Ice)
- The Exchange (Catalina)
Man Toyz
Complete every RC Toyz mission.
The RC Toyz missions are one type of vehicle side activity in the game. They are
started by entering vans labeled "Toyz ’N the Hood", which are hidden in various gang territories. Once
inside, the mini-game begins automatically.
We are given two minutes to destroy as many gang vehicles as possible by detonating RC Bandits. We have
unlimited RC cars for the task. The mission is completed as soon as we destroy at least one gang car.
After that we just need to wait until the timer runs out.
There are four vans in total, located across the three islands:
- Diablo Destruction – Portland
- Location: Near the staircase to the elevated train station in Hepburn Heights, hidden
around a building corner.
- Target vehicles: Diablo Stallions.
- Mafia Massacre – Portland
- Location: West of Toni’s Momma’s Restaurant in Saint Mark’s.
- Target vehicles: Mafia Sentinels.
- Casino Calamity – Staunton
- Location: Opposite the northern side of Kenji’s Casino in Torrington.
- Target vehicles: Yakuza Stingers.
- Rumpo Rampage – Shoreside Vale
- Location: North of the Wichita Gardens hideout, hidden behind billboards on a corner.
- Target vehicles: Hood Rumpo XLs.
Wheels Up
Complete 20 unique jumps.
Unique Stunt Jumps are a type of collectible scattered across Liberty City.
They are required for 100% completion. In total, there are 20 jumps: 8 in Portland, 4 in Staunton Island
& 8 in Shoreside Vale.
Ideal vehicles for this task are Banshee, Cheetah, Stinger etc.
To count as completed, we must drive off the designated ramp, go airborne, and land in a specific target
zone. When successful, the game switches to a cinematic camera mid-air, confirming that the jump is
being attempted. Each completed jump also awards a cash bonus.
It is optimal to clear all stunt jumps on one island as soon as it unlocks. This avoids backtracking and
provides early cash rewards. Additionally, completing any stunt jump without damaging the vehicle and
landing balanced unlocks
Wreckless Driving.
Furious First Responder
Complete Paramedic, Firefighter, Vigilante.
To unlock this trophy we need to unlock Playing Doctor and complete 20
Firefighter and 20 Vigilante missions on every island.
Liberty City Secrets
Collect 100 hidden packages.
Hidden Packages are one of the main types of collectibles in Liberty City. They are
scattered across all three islands and can be collected from the very start of the game — some require
progress in the story to gain access. None of the packages are missable.
There are 100 Hidden Packages total: 33 in Portland, 36 in Staunton Island & 31 in Shoreside Vale.
Each set of 10 packages unlocked will reward us with additional weapons, which automatically spawn at
every hideout. Collecting all 100 packages also grants a large cash reward. All of them can be found via
their timestamps in my playlist.
Not So Fast
Complete "The Exchange".
Story-related. "The Exchange" is the final mission of the main story.
Is That All You've Got?
Achieve 100% completion.
Achieving 100% Completion requires finishing nearly every type of content
the game offers. This includes story progress, optional missions, jobs, and all forms of
collectibles. While it may sound overwhelming at first, keeping track island by island makes it very
manageable.
- Complete all Story Missions
- Complete all Payphone/Contact Missions
- Complete all Vehicle Side Missions:
- Vigilante
- Paramedic
- Firefighter
- Taxi Driver
- Complete all Jobs:
- RC Toyz Missions (4 total)
- Off-Road Challenges
- 20 Rampages
- Finish all 3 Import/Export Vehicle Lists
- Gather all Collectibles:
- 100 Hidden Packages
- 20 Unique Stunt Jumps
If you followed all steps, the only missing thing at this point should be the Export/Import list for
service vehicles. The game doesn't show you which vehicles are part of the list. Deliver the following
list to the crane in Portland:
- Ambulance
- Enforcer
- FBI Car
- Fire Truck
- Police Car
- Rhino
- Barracks OL
