Trophy Guide & Roadmap

If you prefer to watch a video instead of reading the guide, feel free to do so. There is a video that covers every trophy on my YouTube channel. If you'd like and subscribe or even become a member, it would mean a lot to this channel!

Step 1 - Online Trophies

This stage is relatively short since there aren’t many online trophies to earn. The only potentially tricky one is Victory Lap.

Competitor's Spirit
Complete an Online Tournament
We’ll unlock this trophy by participating in one of the online tournaments featured in the game. We don’t need to win, simply finishing a tournament is enough.

From the main menu, we go to Tournaments, choose any available one, and complete all the holes. Most daily tournaments only require 9 holes, making them quick to finish. If you're lucky you may even get one with just 4 holes.
Golfer Versus Golfer
Complete an Online H2H game
Unlocks automatically while attempting Victory Lap.
Victory Lap
Get a win in an Online H2H game
To attempt this, we head to the Competitive section from the main menu and choose any H2H mode. We can select any golfer, though using Jack Nicklaus will give us the best chance due to his high stats. After setting up, join a lobby. It's recommended to pick one that allows up to 16 players, because we have to beat just one other player by a single stroke. We don't have to win the entire match. If you have a friend to play with, it get's even easier of course.

Step 2 - Miscelleanous Trophies

This stage is optional as all these trophies can be earned in Career Mode as well. But if you want to get rid of them before entering your career, here are some consistent strategies to tackle them. Trophies like Ace in the Hole and Holey Moley may require multiple attempts.

Star Power
Complete a Challenge
We’ll unlock this by earning at least one star in any Challenge. From the main menu, select Challenges. Pick Coaching Academy > PGA Coaching > 'The Basics' Challenges > Swing Basics. There we just need to hit the fairway to earn a star and unlock the trophy.
From Way Downtown
Make a putt over 50 ft.
Go to Challenges and find The 2023 PLAYERS Championship > Round 4 Moments > Montgomery – Hole #11. The challenge includes a 60 ft putt, press left on the D-Pad twice, aim, and hit the putt. A successful putt will trigger a Heartbeat Moment and unlock the trophy. In case you miss, you can just restart the challenge.
Bomb's Away
Hit a drive over 400 yards
Go to Quick Play > Stroke Play > Southern Hills and either select all 18 holes or just the first one. Bryson DeChambeau is recommended but not necessary.

Important round settings:
  • Wind Speed: 18–25 MPH
  • Wind Direction: North
With these settings, it shouldn't be a problem at all. If you fall short, restart and try again.
Holey Moley
Hole out from at least 100 yards away
It's highly recommended to combine this with Ace in the Hole to save some time.
Ace in the Hole
Record a hole-in-one
First of all, it is recommended to use the 3-Click mechanic. It allows more even strokes which makes it easier to find the right direction and swing speed. With that enabled, pick any 3-Par hole with at least 100 yds to be able to unlock Holey Moley at the same time. Hole 15 at Los Angeles Country Club is a good one with a relatively flat green.
Clean Sheet
Complete an 18-hole round of Stroke Play without recording a bogey
A bogey is when we finish a hole one stroke over par. For example, scoring 5 on a par-4 hole. Once again, we can save time and combine this with Perfect Round. Please refer to the next trophy.
Perfect Round
Shoot 59 or better in an 18-hole round of Stroke Play
To unlock this one, we need to finish a full 18-hole round with a total of 59 strokes, that’s around -13/-12 under par on most courses. By far the easiest course in my opinion is Teeth of the Dog. Optimize the settings by picking Low wind speed & Red Tee Location. Use Scottie Scheffler or Jack Nicklaus and it shouldn't take too many tries. If you avoid scoring a bogey, you'll earn Clean Sheet as well. On this course it's highly unlikely to score a bogey :)

Step 3 - Career Mode

All career mode trophies require an internet connection. If EA ever shuts down the servers, these trophies will become unobtainable.

In this stage, we’ll focus on progressing through Career Mode and finishing our trophy hunt.

Our main objective here is to complete the full career mode by just playing the major events. If we manage to win all of them, we’ll only need one season to complete this stage. At the beginning of our career, our player is fairly weak, and shot dispersion is wide. After each round, we should invest our earned skill points into upgrading our golfer’s stats.

It’s a good idea to create a cloud or USB save before each trophy-relevant tournament.

Recommended settings to make this mode as quick and easy as possible:

Using these settings means you have to be able to score a -5 or -6 after 18 holes. If you're not comfortable with this, you can play all 72 holes. But keep in mind, before you finish a hole you can always quit & save the round. That allows you you play the hole again, which helps to score birdies more easily, once you know how to play a specific hole.

Makin' the Cut
Make the cut in a PGA TOUR event
This should be our first trophy during our career. We need to make the cut in one of the first four events to qualify for THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP. In regular PGA Tour events, only the top 70 players move on to the final two rounds. The cut line is set at the score of the player in 70th place. As long as we’re tied with or above that score after the first two rounds, we’ll make the cut and be able to continue.

I personally liked the tournament in Phoenix the most, because it's fairly easy. But Pebble Beach is good too. Just pick one you like the most.
