Trophy Guide & Roadmap

If you prefer to watch a video instead of reading the guide, feel free to do so. There is a video that covers every trophy on my YouTube channel. If you'd like and subscribe or even become a member, it would mean a lot to this channel!

Prologue

WARNING: This guide contains major story spoilers, mostly in form of revealing trophy names or descriptions.

The prologue features one collectible, a comic on the desk in the very first room.

The beginning of a beautiful collection
Found your first comic.
The first comic of the game lies on the drawers near the big window in Kat's room. Picking it up unlocks our first trophy.
Home Is...
Witnessed your father leaving without you
Is awarded for finishing the Prologue chapter, as part of the main storyline progression.

Chapter 1

Collectibles in this chapter: 3 Scannable Objects + 1 Comic

Who waits five minutes, seriously
Play the waiting game with Ryan.
After Ryan enters the truck and we have to stand around and wait for about 5 minutes before hopping in.
Better jot that down
Scanned your first object of interest.
We can scan our very first object of interest in Chapter 1. It is a very hard-to-miss globe covered in gold right before the entrance door of WSA.
Moonbear
Safely launched Zephyr-III. Mission Opera is a go!
Is awarded for finishing the first chapter, as part of the main storyline progression.

Chapter 2

Collectibles in this chapter: 3 Scannable Objects + 1 Comic + 1 AstroTalk

Reading is fundamental
Read your first AstroTalk.
AstroTalks are another form of collectibles in this game, which are digital message threads between characters. Mostly they look like tablets orsome kind of bigger watches. The first time we can pick one up is in Chapter 2.
Stellar extra-vehicular activities score
Detached the thruster and made it back within 3 minutes and 35 seconds after egressing the airlock.
We need to fix a malfunctioning thruster outside the shuttle within a generous time frame. You can't miss it. The timer for this trophy starts and stops when we press the big airlock button.
Getting the hang of it
Climb your first wall.
In a little flashback sequence during chapter 2, we learn how to climb walls, marking an important gameplay introduction. The trophy is unmissable.
Want to Go to Space?
Travelled space and time to get to your destination.
Is awarded for finishing the second chapter, as part of the main storyline progression.

Chapter 3

Collectibles in this chapter: 2 Scannable Objects + 1 Comic + 2 AstroTalks + 1 Hologram

Take a look
Watched your first hologram.
To watch a hologram, we need to use AYLA to position the orange fragments inside the target circle, allowing us to watch the story unfold. This can be tricky sometimes but you'll get the mechanic eventually.
On the Precipice
Took control of ARK Labos and reached the Martian surface. Alone.
Is awarded for finishing the third chapter, as part of the main storyline progression.

Chapter 4

Collectibles in this chapter: 5 Scannable Objects + 1 Comic + 3 AstroTalks + 3 Holograms

Kats always land on their feet
Reached the elevator below in Herschel within 2 minutes after surveying the quarry.
During chapter 4 we come to a quarry where we have to observe three different locations. The 2 minute timer starts as soon as we regain control over Kat. Reach the quarry elevator (the one you just observed) within 2 minutes. The time window is big enough to scan the Herschel Mehaharvester on your way too. If the trophy doesn't pop in the elevator you can reload an autosave or restart the chapter which isn't too bad, because the quarry is close to the start of the chapter.
A Nice Place to Live
Acquired a rover and new insights into your father.
Is awarded for finishing the fourth chapter, as part of the main storyline progression.

Chapter 5

Collectibles in this chapter: 6 Scannable Objects + 1 Comic + 3 AstroTalks + 2 Holograms + 1 NASA Rover

The Gang
Someone has hidden a very important and personal memento inside his cell.
We need to tackle an optional puzzle midway through this chapter that rewards us with access to a secret area containing a special easter egg. Upon making our way to the floor above the temporary prison wing, we must crack a puzzle to move forward. Once we restore the power and complete the challenge, we find ourselves at the entrance to a newly accessible room, where we discover a beam splitter. Bring both this beam splitter and the one we've previously obtained down to the prison wing. Our next step is to position one splitter close to the office near the wing’s entrance and activate it. The other splitter goes to the far end of the wing; by powering it up, we unlock the final cell and gain entry.
The Dream for These Folks
Discovered the vital technology inside ARK Habitas and Mission Opera's secret objective.
Is awarded for finishing the fifth chapter, as part of the main storyline progression.

Chapter 6

Collectibles in this chapter: 4 Scannable Objects + 1 Comic + 3 AstroTalks + 3 Holograms + 1 NASA Rover

Quick like a Kat
Traversed the icy plains and enter Odum within 3 minutes and 15 seconds after surveying the base.
We find ourselves overlooking a cable car network stretching across the icy plains immediately after leaving the rover. Once we survey the entire area and assume control of Kat, the timer starts. Although the allotted time is generous, we still need to employ some clever shortcuts using the somewhat awkward pickaxe controls to succeed. Watching a video is highly recommended to familiarize with the optimal path.

Importantly, we have the ability to reload from an auto-saved checkpoint that activates just after we finish observing the cable cars. This checkpoint is a handy fallback if we make mistakes. However, as we progress downward, this checkpoint might be overwritten, so if it happens near the final stages and we need to reload, we'll have to restart the chapter from the beginning. Fortunately, this segment takes place early in the chapter.

On our route, we can collect two items: a scannable cable car, which is quite noticeable, and a NASA Rover that requires a slight detour. Despite this detour, completing these objectives within the time limit is still achievable, and the video guide covers these collectible locations in detail.
Not the Rabbits, Not the Bees
Learned the discouraging truth about Odum's sign of life and your father's deepest flaws.
Is awarded for finishing the sixth chapter, as part of the main storyline progression.

Chapter 7

Collectibles in this chapter: 3 Scannable Objects + 1 Comic + 2 AstroTalks + 3 Holograms

When ACE met AYLA
Robots can love too.
In the crew quarters, explore the area until you notice a section at the back of the room that appears inaccessible for the moment. There, take control of AYLA, navigate her through the narrow gap and head toward ACE. It may take observing him from various angles before the trophy is triggered.
Like Animals
Uncovered Outward's gruesome fate and saw your only means of returning home dissipate.
Is awarded for finishing the seventh chapter, as part of the main storyline progression.

Chapter 8

Collectibles in this chapter: 4 Scannable Objects + 1 Comic + 2 AstroTalks + 4 Holograms + 2 NASA Rover

Piecing the story together
Completed your first story profile.
Story profiles complete automatically while we pick up collectibles. Each one has special topic it belongs to. Once we have all collectibles for one of those topics, this trophy pops. The earliest point for it is in chapter 8 after picking up the AstroTalk between PHILOSOBOT and Brian.
Shai-Hulud?
Did you just spot a big, big worm, here on Mars? Must be a hallucination...
After collecting Labos' Rotation Shuttle we find ourselves on the outskirts of a ship. Look in the distance for about 10 seconds. The trophy pops after watching the little easter egg.
As the story unfolds...
Completed four story profiles
Similar to Piecing the story together. The fourth profile should be completed after picking up the Hologram called "No Way Out".
Cinephile
Watched all holograms.
Holograms are the first kind of collectibles we are going to have a complete collection of. The game features a total of 16.

Desperate Times
Reconnected the ARKs, found your father's final message, and abandoned Mission Opera to find him.
Is awarded for finishing the eighth chapter, as part of the main storyline progression.

Chapter 9

Collectibles in this chapter: 1 scannable object + 1 Comic + 1 AstroTalk + 1 NASA Rover

Their batteries were low and it got dark
Found all NASA rovers on the Red Planet
This trophy pops after successfully locating all 5 NASA rovers. There is one in chapters 5, 6 and 9 and two in chapter 8. The second one in chapter 8 is easily missable. It can be found at the end of the chapter when the dust storm starts to get heavier. I'd recommend taking a look at the video guide to see where it is. If you want to find it yourself that's totally fine, just keep in mind to restart the checkpoint when the dust gets too intense. Otherwise the chapter might end abruptly and the game creates an autosave.
Simulacrum
Someone should really fix that speaker.
Early on we walk alongside Isaac, and just before reaching the bee farm, look to the right and move towards the area with the speaker. Standing directly in front of the speaker will cause the trophy to unlock.
Peruser
Read all AstroTalks.
When we have gathered all 17 AstroTalk conversation logs, this trophy should pop near the end of chapter 9.

Chapter 9
Kat-like reflexes
Made it through the Tesla Chambers without taking damage.
We stealthily make our way into the Tesla Chamber near the chapter’s end and must ascend the structure without sustaining any damage from the pervasive electricity or from falls. The path is straightforward and intuitive, though watching a walkthrough video beforehand can help in advance. The challenge isn’t overly difficult and allows for some margin of error.

It’s crucial that we avoid taking any damage; failure to do so could force us to restart the entire chapter. Fortunately, the automatic checkpoints inside the room do not seem to be overwritten, enabling us to reload if needed.
Wants and Needs
Located the Unison settlement and your father, opposed his true intentions, and captured ARK Vita.
Is awarded for finishing the ninth chapter, as part of the main storyline progression.

Epilogue

Collectibles in this chapter: 1 Scannable Object + 1 Comic

Pannapictagraphist
Collected all comics.
For this trophy to unlock we need to pick up all 11 comics of the game. There is one in each chapter including Prologue and Epilogue.
Curiosity didn't kill the Kat
Completed all eight story profiles.
This trophy is tied to all collectibles. When we find all 76 of the game (excluding the 5 NASA rovers) this trophy pops together with Chronicler.
Chronicler
Scanned all objects of interest.
For this trophy we need to inspect and scan a total of 32 noteworthy items scattered throughout our journey. Below is a checklist for you:
